ZLAN7146 is another WIFI serial server launched by Shanghai Zhuolan after ZLAN7100, ZLAN7142 and ZLAN7144. The serial port server can easily connect the serial port device to the WIFI wireless network and realize the wireless network upgrade of the serial port device. RS232 interface supports full-duplex, uninterrupted communication, RS485 embedded 485 lightning protection. wifi supports STA mode to connect to a wireless router, or as an AP mode to connect to a wifi device such as a mobile phone. For users who use virtual serial port, ZLANZ ZLVircom software can be used to realize virtual serial port, and the original serial port PC software does not need to be modified. You can also use the Modbus TCP protocol in the configuration software to directly connect with the RTU device to achieve wifi network communication.

The 7146 adopts a new WIFI chipset, which has stronger WIFI performance, higher cost performance, and lower power consumption. The 7146 uses an ARM M4 core with a frequency of 192MHz and a real-time operating system. Among them ZLAN7146-5 supports connecting to 5.8G WIFI hotspots.

7146 supports an RS232/485/422 to WIFI, which can be used as a STA or AP. Ethernet interface is not included (RJ45 is for future expansion). The 7146 has a variety of advanced features such as Modbus TCP, custom registration packages, custom protocol conversions, etc., which is very suitable for IoT applications.

The advanced features of the 7146 include: Modbus to RTU, simultaneous access by multiple hosts without conflict, custom heartbeat packet and registration packet support, MQTT support, data submission and delivery function in HTTP mode, and TCP server client coexistence. The zlvircom tool can be used to search for devices across network segments, and remote upgrades and custom web page downloads are supported. AT-like instructions in binary format are supported, and there is no need to switch to AT configuration mode. ZLAN7146TN supports P2P communication methods.

The wifi mode supports 802.11b/g/n, and supports WEP64/128, TKIP, AES, WPA, WPA2, WAPI encryption modes. When the 7146 and the computer are connected to the same AP, the computer and the module can communicate with each other.
